Founded in 1976 by partners Elizabeth Fitzsimmons and Robin Sinclair, Harlequin Interiors is a well established, Independent design company based in Leicester, England.

At Harlequin, our ethos is to design an environment for the client in mind. We bring to the table an experienced eye for Interior Design, with exciting ideas and a creative outlook, we will help create a fabulous Interior that you will enjoy for many years.

Whatever you’ve envisioned for your home or workspace, we are here to get it done. Our professional, creative team has been designing the spaces that are most important to our clients.

Our job is to help you love your space. We pay great attention to detail, and know how crucial the little touches are. We’ll work closely with you to understand what you want, what your style is and which elements are most important to you.

We have participated in a wide range of both commercial and domestic projects all across England, some of which include Client boardrooms, Boutique Hotels, Loughborough Town Hall, Holiday Inns, Heathrow Meeting rooms, and the Ladywood Estate Uppingham.

Currently, Harlequin focuses mostly on domestic projects, but do not discriminate - we put our upmost effort and experience into every design project, ensuring a paramount result for a wide range of services.

Elizabeth Fitzsimmons - Partner, Lead Designer

After acquiring a first from Leicester University Elizabeth worked for a design company in Central London for 4 years - designing for clients such as Tricia Guild (now Designers Guild), Colefax & Fowler, Liberties of London, the Dorchester Hotel, and many more - gaining a wealth of experience and contacts along the way.

In Leicester, Liz became the head of art and design at Alderman Newtons grammar school for 4 years. Shortly after, she founded Harlequin Interiors with Robin Sinclair in 1976.

She has worked on a plethora of projects with Robin, with the pair always bringing enthusiasm and a flair for colour and an eclectic style in order to create both an individual and exciting interior for the client.

Robin Sinclair - Partner, Designer, Product Researcher

Robin obtained his degree from Warwick University, going on to teach at Alderman Newtons Grammar school for three years.

Shortly after meeting Elizabeth Fitzsimmons, the pair founded Harlequin Interiors in 1976. Since then, he has worked on many renowned projects, designing interiors with a classic style, and has a particular love for specialist fabrics and furniture.

He often has an eye for sourcing new and exciting specialist products for use in the showroom and with client projects, whilst also looking out for the most interesting and innovative pieces to entice the prospective client

MEET THE TEAM

Georgia Gray - Interior Designer, Project Manager

Georgia joined Harlequin in 2019 as a trainee Interior Designer alongside studying for her degree. She specialises in designing bespoke furniture, creating concept visuals, and bringing our client's ideas to life.

Lewis Bernaudon - Social Media & Sales Assistant

Lewis joined Harlequin in 2021. With a degree in Journalism and a masters in PR & Media, he works in sales and social media inside of our showroom.

Barbara Druzdzel - Interior Designer

Barbara joined Harlequin earlier this year with a BA in Interior Design.

She joined the Harlequin team with some valuable experience - Barbara successfully developed a corporate website for her previous employees, whilst also completing the design and renovation for some commercial properties.

At Harlequin she is working on concept visuals for design projects, meeting clients and learning all aspects of interior design - including planning and managing projects within the team.

THE SHOWROOM

At our showroom, located in Loseby Lane, Leicester, we have a colourful, contemporary feel. Inside, there are 2 floors showcasing some of our nicest pieces of authentic Italian furniture.

You will see pieces from brands such as Presotto, Cattelan Italia, Pianca, and Bontempi; as well as a plethora of accessories from Christian Lacroix, Designers Guild, and Addison Ross to name a few.

Home to our small team of creatives, our showroom is only the tip of the iceberg in regards to Harlequin's operations.

We also work alongside our trusted team of dedicated delivery drivers, fitters, and craftsmen.
